It is with sadness that I see that most people do not know much about EU, what it does and how it affects them...Plus we need more transparency of what is going on in Brussels...People are just to ignorant about the actions of the europarliament, even who their MEPs are...We need to allow them greater access to EU, so they won't see it as something far away, full with european elitists, but something that also inspires them and is grabbing their attention..

In my opinion one way of doing this is pan-EU media....the internet is great, but most people i know just download music,movies and videos from it, socialise in sites like you-tube and bebo,watch porn, or just send e-mails....besides there is the older generation that we need to attrack too,and those people do not use the internet as much for their information.

So i think we need a pan-european tv channel, or newspaper...one that everyone can have access to it..i know that there is Euronews for news and other topics,and the french/german tv channel ARTEL, but honestly, how many do they watch them...7 million viewers in EU out of almost 500 million...don't you think is a bit low...?? plus it is a satelite channel,which many do not get....they will need to upgrade their subscription and pay more to get it,something that many cannot afford...a channel that it will be there all the time,and if the want to watch , it will be just one zap away.....if they want to watch it that is...so no one can accuse EU of promoting propaganda....because there are people that see every move of EU of promoting itself to it's citizent's (what more natural than that),as one....

So if let's say we create one channel that will broadcast in all EU languages topics about europe, EU, politics,culture,art,and help us get to know each other....EU should not be just a finacial project,otherwise it is doomed to fail...how you integrate 27 strangers on finacial terms only...?? so there could be (let's say the name of the channel is EUTV) EUTV ITALIANO, EUTV SVENSKA, EUTV SLOVENSKO, EUTV ESPANOL, EUTV HELLENIC, EUTV EIRE,EUTV SUOMI and so on.....one channel for every language of EU, partly financed by EU, partly by the states.....

In that case, ALL citizents of ALL ages and ALL backgrounds could have access and understanding to EU activities, like broadcasting from the EU parliament...in my opinion citizents deserve this...we pay and spent money for other ridiculous things , we should start trying gaining the trust and interest of the citizents....
