Marriage remains the only civic institution linked to sex.


- Alone a woman has the right to marry a man.
- Alone a man has the right to marry a woman.


And, sex is a biological, but no way juridical notion.


This residue of discrimination must be eliminated: Let us define marriage as the union freely and reciprocally approved between two human beings and the possible private activities which they could play then look at nobody.


Various kinds of marriage contracts (universal community, reduced to acquêts, separation of good) and the subsequent acts (divorce, adoption, succession) will remain unchanged, in the only difference which they will not any more demand to know the sexes of the contracting parties.


My poor practice of English returns this not very comprehensible text perhaps, I add it therefore a translation in Esperanto.


Edziĝo restas la sola civita institucio ligata al sekso.


- Nur viro rajtas edziĝi kun virino.
- Nur virino rajtas edziĝi kun viro.


Nu, sekso estas biologia nocio, sed neniel jura nocio.


Tiu resta diskriminacio estas forigenda : Ni definu la edziĝon estiel la libere kaj reciproke konsentita unuiĝo inter du homoj kaj la eblaj intimaj agadoj, kiuj ili poste farus, koncernas neniun.


La diversaj edziĝaj kontraktoj (universala komunaĵo, komunaĵo limigita al akiraĵoj, disigo de posedo) kaj la konsekvencaj aktoj (divorco, adopto, heredo) restos neŝanĝataj , la nura ŝanĝo estos ke, ne plu estos deviga koni la seksojn de la kontraktantoj.
